My Bio
I'm a mom of six kids in the UCPS system and a small business owner who has spent years advocating for our children, only to be ignored. I learned at age 12 that our voices have power, and I'm running for Union County School Board District 3 because no parent, teacher, or student should ever feel like the people meant to protect them aren't listening.
My Key Issues
Budget Transparency
The budget is not currently public and taxpayers deserve access so they can hold the board accountable.
Teacher Pay
Teachers and TAs deserve better pay. The board chose not to sign an interlocal agreement with county commissioners, leaving $3.8 million on the table that could have gone to educators.
Open Communication
The board should hold rotating town halls, publish plain language previews of votes, and show the community what it did with their input. A public comment period should not be the only time families feel heard.
